Paper: Sick Individuals and Sick Populations

#1

This is a great document for those interested in getting started in epidemiology.

The author contrasts two types of studies: those focusing on the cause of disease in high-risk individuals, and those focusing on population-level causes of disease, and concludes that although both approaches are necessary, the ultimate goal should be to identify/remove/control the causes of disease in the population.
